If we don't react on violence we are quietly supporting violent behavior and excepting the fact that tomorrow we can potentially become its victims.
Important part of VFR is education trough which young people can find out about how to fight against the hate speech on Internet and how to promote tolerance, human rights and diversity.

NO HATE

Internet have become a part of everyday life and many people use the content available on it, especially social networks (Facebook, Tweeter, Youtube etc) Content from Internet is widely accessible in schools, universities, libraries, youth clubs, coffee clubs, different locations with free wi fi and especially through cell phones. Among the users the biggest part belong to young people who are usually not aware that their activities in virtual world have consequences on their real life and we are all, unfortunately, witnesses of hate speech and other discriminatory behavior online where social networks are highlighted.

In order to promote tolerance and differences and to fight hate speech towards young people in virtual world LIBERO in partnership with CIVILNET and with the support from Ministry for Youth and Sports and European Youth Foundation continued with last year initiative named VIRTUAL FEELS REAL in fourteen cities and municipalities in Serbia (Vrаnje, Leskovac, Lаpovo, Prokuplje, Nis, Bor, Boljevci, Loznica, Kikinda, Sremska Mitrovica, Krаgujevac, Beogrаd, Novi Sаd and i Pаncevo.

VIRTUAL FEELS REAL started with 12 young enthusiasts and protectors of human rights online and this way it gave its contribution to Council of Europe’s campaign “Human rights defenders online“. In 2013. Virtual Feels Real become a part of National campaign for fighting hate speech on the Internet led by Ministry of Youth and Sports and it targeted high school and university students as well. According to this, VFR had two parallel processes> one created for students and young lawyers and the other made for high school students.

VFR is getting bigger everyday and already has thousands of teenagers and sympathizers involved. Become a part of our campaign and we will together contribute to the promotion of responsible use of Internet.
